Just signed up to a 'hacker' account and deployed my web app... only to realise FastAPI isn't supported yet. There's a forum topic on the non-EU site but I don't have a login for that. So raising here, too, in the hope it helps bump things up the priority stack.

Luckily I'm early in the app dev process so can convert without too much effort. FastAPI would still be preferable though (and, I'd guess, more efficient to run??).

It's not available yet. We plan to introduce it, but it requires multiple changes to the way we serve web apps.

thanks for the quick reply. I can imagine supporting ASGI could be quite invasive. Just adding my vote to the request (per discussion on the non-EU site).

Seeing the thread on the non-eu site started in 2019 as i scrolled down closer to May 2023 things sounded very positive around July 2022 but nothing much has changed since. Is ASGI support still on the cards or might it be another 3-4 years of +1's and PythonAnywhere staff "noted" replies?

FastAPI is still one of our top priorities.
