How to use python 3.10 when my current image just goes to 3.9

Hi, I tried to follow the instructions on https://help.pythonanywhere.com/pages/ChangingSystemImage but there is no explanation on what to do after:

“You will not be able to switch to a system image that is older than the one it had when you originally signed up.”

It sounds like only newer customers can get the newer version. I hope this is not correct.

Please let me know.

Thank you

You're reading that backwards. It says that only older customers will be able to go to older system images. All customers are able to switch to images that are newer.

OK... So, how do I upgrade? that was my question. I don't have or see the option 3.10.

When I go here:

https://help.pythonanywhere.com/pages/ChangingSystemImage

And read from that page:

"Just click on the "pencil" icon next to the name of your current image, and you'll get a dropdown where you can select the one to switch to. The most recent one will be at the bottom of the list."...

I don't have 3.10.

You have to upgrade your system image. You are currently on a system image called "glastonbury". If you change it to "haggis", you will be able to use Python version 3.10.

Ok thanks - I was on the wrong page.

Glad to hear that you found it!
