Tarpit figures can't be right?

"CPU Usage: You are in the tarpit. 100% used – 424194.51s of 4,000s. Resets in 2 hours, 17 minutes"

What's going on here, that's apparently 118 hours of CPU in a 22h period, I have barely breached tarpit in 2 years prior to yesterday? An api I poll was out for a while yesterday, do delays waiting for an api response count as cpu time? And how would it be possible to have 118 hours in a day, i have no threaded operations?

I also suffer from strange CPU usages. Mostly I only have a few always-on running tasks and the reported CPU usages from the tasks when I fetch process list is way, way, lower than the overal CPU usage amount. The tasks should maximum get around 1000s for 24h. My reported overal CPU usage is 446197s.

Thanks for reporting -- we have issues with the CPU couting system for always-on nodes, we're working on the fix. Sorry for any inconvenience! (I've reset the CPU counter for both of you just now.)

Same here, can you reset.

Thank you for the quick fix. Looks like it was the tarpit itself causing my api calls to be killed, as the api was solid on my local dev setup.

The problem has been fixed, and all should be well now. Do let us know if you're continuing to have issues.
