DNS config error

Hello everyone,

I've recently configured a domain for my application hosted on PythonAnywhere and I'm encountering a security certificate issue that I hope someone here might help me resolve.

Here’s a breakdown of the steps I followed:

  • I set up my domain as www.route-crypto-daive.ai.

  • I configured the DNS on GoDaddy, pointing the CNAME www to webapp-XXXXX.eu.pythonanywhere.com.

  • I enabled the force HTTPS option on PythonAnywhere.

  • Despite these settings, when accessing https://www.route-crypto-daive.ai/, the browser indicates that the site is not secure, and HTTPS is not enabled properly.

Furthermore, when attempting to add an HTTPS certificate via Let's Encrypt on PythonAnywhere, I receive the following error:

“We were unable to create a Let's Encrypt certificate for your domain right now because your domain is malformed or not pointed at PythonAnywhere. Please try again once you have your DNS CNAME set up correctly. Your old Let's Encrypt certificate has been removed.”

I’ve only connected the domain about an hour ago. Is it possible that the DNS changes have not fully propagated yet, or is there likely an error in how I’ve configured something?

Here are some screenshots to illustrate the configuration:

Any insights or similar experiences would be immensely helpful!

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Yes, I think it's a DNS propagation thing -- at the time you posted your message, the CNAME was still propagating. However, it looks like it's done now, so you'll be able to create a certificate.
