It appears to require a javascript web server, so it will not work on PythonAnywhere.

Yes it actually does require a javascript webserver. Thanks for your reply! In that case I could host the javascript webserver elsewhere and integrate the pointcloud html files as iframe with my django GUI.

but it is much slower than on another webserver that I've tested. Also, the content isn't displayed correctly, some points seem to miss. Do you have an idea what the reason is?
That looks like it transfers a huge amount of data to show the image. That will always be slower when the server is across the internet from you than when it is on the same machine as the browser. I don't know why there are points missing.
